Venerated by four religions, Adam’s Peak is at 2,243m above sea level, where pilgrims flock to climb during the night in the special season of January to April. It is near the hill country town of Hatton, 123km from Colombo. The spectacular sunrise seen from the peak rewards pilgrims who climb to pay respect to the footprint set in rock at the summit. Malki was a preschool teacher and is now a homemaker and proud mother. She is very passionate about cooking and it gives her immense joy to cook for friends and family. Even as a child Malki was always fascinated by watching her mother cook which is how her love for food started. Malki truly enjoys cooking traditional Sri Lankan dishes for her family everyday. It is about 20 km from Colombo city, very close to the beautiful Piliyandala lake. Nanditha is a successful entrepreneur (running her home based confectionery company for 15 years now!), home baker and mother of two.  Nanditha lives with her husband, daughter and two dogs in a beautiful home in central Colombo 5. Nanditha is very creative - visible when you visit her home - tastefully decorated with family photos, art, and paintings, some of which are hers! You will start your experience with an introduction to Sri Lankan home cooking and food traditions, as you sip on your welcome drink and snack on baked garlic and cassava chips. Over the years her crab curry has become Nanditha’s signature dish and she hosts a crab feast at least once every few weeks for friends and family.
