Pickup Details

Passengers MUST reconfirm their pickup time 48 hours before departure on the webportal provided on your ticket. A 30-minute time window will be given to the client for the pick-up. Passengers need to be checked out and waiting by the concierge desk in their hotel lobby at the beginning of their pickup window. Please be aware that your driver will wait for 5 minutes before departing, at this point the transfer will be declared a no show. When picking up from private addresses your driver will ring the buzzer or a contact number whichever is required.

  • CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) Procedures: As a family run provider of transfer, chauffeur and site seeing services. City Transfers is committed to your safety in the new normal and that of it’s driver team. To that end, we have implemented the following measures: • Daily health checks, all drivers will take temperature tests and check for symptoms daily before beginning shifts. We request that passengers similarly ensure that they are asymptomatic before travelling with us. • Chauffeurs will greet guests verbally instead of a handshake, they will still offer to assist with luggage but will sanitise handles after handling. • All drivers will wear masks and hands will be sanitised regularly before, after and during service. • Passengers must wear face masks at all times. • The front passenger seat alongside the driver will not be available for travellers use. • Drivers will wipe external and internal door handles after every trip. • Drivers will have sanitiser (60% + alcohol) and / or wipes available at all times. • Drivers will turn aircon and ventilation to circulate external air not internal air.
  • The duration of transfers are approximate, the exact duration will depend on the time of day and traffic conditions
  • This transfer does NOT service hotels in the Docklands area.
  • Children: All infants & children are charged as full fare paying passengers. Should infants/children require a special car seat, this is payable direct to driver at an additional GBP10 per journey and must be requested in advance. Please note that the above may not be available in all areas at all times. Should a car seat not be available on the date of service, infants can still travel as per UK laws.

Our experience was awesome. Our driver picked us up during the window given to us. He was very nice and friendly and key us know there was one more pick up before we headed to the airport. We got to the airport in plenty of time and it was a very smooth process. Having to confirm 48 hours in advance after already having a paid pick up can be a little annoying to have to remember to do however, that is my only no positive comment. The overall service was perfect.

Both rides were provided by professional and friendly drivers. On the second occasion , going to the airport the driver arrived even slightly before the appointed time so that I had no worries about being late for my plane should there be any traffic delays - a concern always to the travelling passenger. Will use your service again without any hesitation.

We had 3 large suitcases, only 20kg each (not bad after 5 weeks away), and the driver refused to unload them at the airport until I paid him another 10 pounds cash. He was rude and a real sarcastic smart arse from the hotel to the airport because i didn't know which terminal we were leaving ftom even though us and 4 other passengers in the van shouldn't have to hear anything like that. He even tried to drop us off at terminal 2 until I rang his boss who informed me Emirates were at terminal 3...surely he knew this and was just trying to make things inconvenient for us. I have a photo of his ID and will take this further!

The driver was excellent and well informed about so much it made our trip very enjoyable. I realize the trip from the hotel to the airport was not close. I wonder what the cost would have been if we (the two of us) traveled to the Airport by another means rather through your service? I cannot say the extended Van made the ride uncomfortable however it was full. Based on that I think the ride become a little over priced since we had to share. I also wonder what would have happened if the Van was not filled with as many people? Would we have been charged more or does the driver make less or does the company make less. I would have to rethink the service if we need a service in the future

My pickup was on time, however i only know this as i was looking out the door and seen him sitting in the van, i thought the driver was meant to come into the hotel and collect me and my luggage or at least come in and let me know he was there. We then drove to the next hotel to pick up other people where we waited for approx 30-40 mins until the driver realised we were at the wrong hotel. We then drove to the next hotel which was wrong again! Until we finally went to the correct hotel 3rd time lucky! I eventually got to the airport albeit later than expected and not very happy!!

I was picked up when I was advised. However I was first picked up, we then drove through city, for next pickup. Before second person was picked up, almost an hour went by. This was very stressful, because I should have been at airport 3 hours before flight. It was now 3 hours before flight and drivers pickup was cancelled and picked up by another car. So we'd just wasted 1 hr, onto next pickup. I believe he had at least 4 pickups originally assigned to him. He ended up with only the 2 before we got to airport, 2hrs 15mins before flight was due to take off. I book these services to stop anxiety and stress, unfortunately I was stressed that I wasn't going to make check in. If he had have done all his pick ups that were assigned to him, maybe I could have missed check in. Next time I'll query where I'm on the list and adjust pickup accordingly. I was originally picked up with 4 hrs before my flight, it should have been plenty of time for me to have had a relaxed transfer, this was obviously not the case
