Depart from central London by air-conditioned coach and journey west into the scenic county of Wiltshire toward Salisbury Plain, the site of UNESCO-listed Stonehenge.

As you travel, listen as your guide shares fascinating facts about this prehistoric monument: a 4,500-year-old stone circle that many scholars believe was built as a temple aligned to the movements of the sun.

On arrival, head inside the site and stroll around the monument’s perimeter as you consider how the gigantic stones were transported here and then raised into place. After posing for photos in front of the stones, explore the state-of-the-art visitor center to discover its archaeological displays and audio-visual walkthroughs.

Then, continue your journey to the 18th-century spa city of Bath. Famous for its natural hot springs that were enjoyed by the Romans, as well as for its Georgian architecture and associations with the 18th-century novelist, Jane Austen, this lovely city is one of England’s greatest treasures.

During your journey, learn about Bath’s history, and when you arrive, take an introductory walking tour. Put on your audio headset and listen to your guide’s crystal-clear commentary as you admire the beautiful streets and honey-colored Georgian buildings, including the sweeping Royal Crescent and Pulteney Bridge.

Afterward, upgrade your ticket to include a visit to the Roman Baths, or simply spend the remainder of the afternoon at your leisure. Perhaps visit the Jane Austen Visitor Centre (own expense), the small museum that showcases Jane’s work and times in the city. Learn about life in Bath during Regency times, and how it influenced Jane’s stories from the exhibits and in-costume guides.

When the time comes, reconvene with your guide and finish your trip with drop-off back at your original departure point.
Itinerary
Pass By:
The Jane Austen Centre
Small museum chronicling the life and times of the famous writer, Jane Austen, plus Regency tearoom.
Pass By:
Pulteney Bridge
Our last stop will be a scenic tour of the historic city of Bath, originally built as a place of well-being and relaxation by the Romans over 2,000 years ago. Home to the country’s only natural thermal hot springs, Bath is a delightful city where the ancient world is intertwined with threads of medieval and more recent Georgian history. Our scenic drive of Bath provides an excellent introduction to the major sights of this beautiful city, including Pulteney Bridge, The Assembly Rooms and The Royal Crescent. Afterwards, the time is yours to explore this beautiful city at your own pace. Wander its cobbled streets and explore the markets, or choose to visit the famous Roman Baths* and learn all about their history.
Stop At:
The Roman Baths
The Roman Baths complex is a site of historical interest in the English city of Bath. It is a well-preserved Roman site once used for public bathing. The Roman Baths themselves are below the modern street level. There are four main features: the Sacred Spring, the Roman Temple, the Roman Bath House and the museum, holding finds from Roman Bath. The buildings above street level date from the 19th century. The Baths are a major tourist attraction and, together with the Grand Pump Room, receive more than one million visitors a year. Visitors can tour the baths and museum but cannot enter the water. (if option selected to include entry to Roman Baths)

It was fun. Don’t spend too much time in the Roman bath make sure you have time to explore the town.

Robert and Steve did a fantastic job. A great tour. The coach was very old and we had next to no leg room. For the amount that's charged we would have expected a better quality transportation.

Leslie spent way too much time talking about Bath and how much she loved Bath and the shopping that she could do everyday since she was a tour guide for over 25 years

Great visit. Wonderful driver and very knowledgeable tour guide. Very professional and kind staff. Very organized. Both tours were family friendly and fun for all. I wish we had a little more time to explore Stonehenge, but honestly I could have spent hours there! We were all jet lagged and the drive was a good opportunity to catch up on sleep ;-) Most definitely recommend!

We naught the Bath tour option. Both Stonehenge and Bath tours were recorded audio tours. Guide on bus was friendly and energetic! That said I would rather have a person talking to me Vs. tape recorded blurbs.

The 2 attractions schedule of this tour was very relaxing. We had an opportunity to spend a quality amount of time at both Bath city and Stonehenge which allowed us to explore the attraction while having some spare time to buy souvenirs, take good pictures and dine at a local restaurant for lunch. Moreover, the tour guide is very friendly and welcoming. She provided a lot of interesting information about our attractions in great details. I would strongly recommend this tour for anyone who travel with their family and want to enjoy the attractions at a slow pace.

It was a good and relaxing trip. Our bus was very comfortable, bathroom facility and WiFi on board. Stonehenge and Bath were very nice. the reason I didn't give 5 stars because the guide and driver were not as good as I expected. And there was no communication after I booked the tour from Viator. Lots of people show up at the meeting place no clue like us. But overall was very nice trip. Highly recommended.
